Wii Video Games No Longer Alone In Motion Control |

Yesterday marked a massive time for Xbox video games. Microsoft became the second company with a motion control capable game console. Affectionately called Kinect, Xbox motion control does not call for any sort of controller like Wii video games. The camera follows the gamer and even recognizes facial changes. There is no doubt this is the next level of motion control. What Xbox video games will have to overcome is the much larger library of Wii games out there. At the moment there is something close to 12 motion capable Xbox video games available. Over time obviously there will be many more hitting online stores but until then we wait.
Nintendo owns the market in simple but addictive games. Xbox is now trying to steal market share from Nintendo in this area. Xbox has always been the gamer’s console. They offer an online experience unlike the other two consoles out there. I know they will come out with intense motion controlled games but they aren’t here yet. I’m going to stick with the controller for at least another six months.
